Heavy Duty Pickup Trucks, New Race. The Year of Emissions. The excitement builds with each jet ride to the next new truck media launch, biggest year I can remember for major truck changes. Most of it brought about by the new low emission laws for diesel engines that began January 07. GM totally redesigned the whole truck. Ford has the most mechanical changes with a new nose and diesel engine, Dodge changed the diesel for the new emissions law and reintroduced it's CC model. More... |

2004 Dodge Cummins HO Budget Hop Up by Gary Scott I got my first diesel in the fall of 2003. I was nearing retirement age and my wife and I decided that a pickup and travel trailer would be he best combination for us as I wanted to keep the pickup bed open to haul my dirt bikes and mountain bike. We were really looking for a low mileage used diesel because I'm a Scotsman and try to save where I can. You'll see examples of my frugality as you read on. More... |

The Best Tranny Pans, Differential, and Valve Covers. |
PML knows how to keep you covered! You hear me complaining about oil capacity on this website constantly. Now I found a way to add 2 or 3 more quarts of oil to your tranny and differential. The more oil, the more cooling ability, the longer your truck will stay out of the shop and on the road! Pulling trailers builds extra heat in your engine, transmission and axles. You need extra oil capacity and a cover designed for cooling, not the stamped flat pans and covers truck manufactures buy 100,000 at a time from the cheapest bidder. It's up to you to give your truck the longest life. Click for more. |

I took the 07 Sport Trac off road near Camp Pendleton. With front & rear traction control, it climbed like a rock crawler. Having traction control instead of limited slip or locking differential, allowed me to turn corners in 4WD, have traction and no wheel hop. Roll Stability Control, standard on the Sport Trac, great for a truck with an empty bed as well as stability in bad road conditions. I think all trucks need it. More... |

Affordable Injectors By Jake Morton For many of us with 1994-1997 Ford Power Stroke Diesel’s, there is a limit to how much horsepower we can make. In 1999, Ford redesigned some things and power levels went up considerably, especially when adding aftermarket devices. For a long time, all the early Power Stroke owners could do was a chip or programmer, exhaust, and an air intake. Anything else was just out of the question, price wise, for most hobbyists, daily drivers, and do-it-yourselfers. But now..... Read more.. |

Finally backup with the tailgate down and without hitting the propane tanks. More... |

PML Ford F250 Differential Covers Install, If you've read your trucks owner manual, there is a different schedule for normal use and "severe or trailer towing". For some maintenance schedules you change oil twice as often for severe use. Towing stress creates heat, heat breaks down the oil faster and you know what happens next. A lot of us overload our trailers especially using 3/4 and one ton pickups. More.... |

Hell-Ya introduces a dual version. I saw it at SEMA and brought it home. Rated for 2000# tongue weight. Updated Review: Hell-Ya Hitch Helper did keep the nose heavy trailer from dragging the jack again & some of the wavy pavement between Salida & Green River through Utah, felt better. Even curves seemed easier to handle. Towing a 8000 lb Featherlite SURV, after attaching Hell-Ya, measured again & found the truck set up an inch higher. New Truck Repair Technology comes to Horse Trailers If you follow my articles, you know how big a fan of new technology I am. At the new Transwest Truck Trailer RV facility, is an awesome machine called a Road Simulator. Looks kind of like a dyno, but does use rollers to test brakes rolling resistance and balance. Transwest uses it to test all their new horse trailers so they are ready for your roads. It can find just a torn axle seal leaking on the brakes. It would surprise you how many "new axles" on new trailers are over greased, limiting your trailer brakes ability. With the kind of traffic we pull trailers in, testing brakes becomes routine. And worn suspension maybe be causing your rig to ....More.... |

Logan Coach review, Logan built steel trailers and then in 2004 they added the XT & XTR aluminum skinned horse trailers as consumer demand for aluminum skin trailers grows. Electricity, far from the City … And everyone else. By: Hosspuller Once upon a time, horse camping meant a canvas tent to keep from getting wet and a saddle for a pillow. The opposite is also true; electricity can make a person dead, at home and at camp.
