Inglewood,
CA – PML now offers an extra deep aluminum transmission pan for
2007 and newer Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel trucks with 6.7L
engines. This new pan adds four additional quarts of oil
capacity to the 6-speed 68RFE transmission in these heavy duty
trucks.
PML Ford F250 Differential Covers Install, If you've read your trucks owner manual, there is a different
schedule for normal use and "severe or trailer towing". For some
maintenance schedules you change oil twice as often for severe use. Towing
stress creates heat, heat breaks down the oil faster and you know what
happens next. A lot of us overload our trailers especially
using 3/4 and one ton pickups.

Inglewood, CA – PML announces an extra capacity
sand-cast transmission pan for the 2007 and newer Dodge
Ram 2500 & 3500 trucks with diesel engines. The
transmission on these trucks is the Dodge 68RFE. This
pan fits both four and two wheel drive models and
increases the transmission oil capacity by 3 1/8 quarts
for two wheel drive and 2 1/2 quarts for four wheel
drive.
The increased oil capacity reduces oil
temperatures. The pan has cast-in internal baffles to
keep the oil near the pickup tube, so a filter extension
is not needed. On the outside of the pan, raised fins
help keep oil cool and add a custom look.
The pan also features: a cast-in boss that can be
drilled and tapped for a temperature sensor, 3/16-inch
thick wall construction to add strength to transmission
case, 3/8-inch thick gasket flange for a secure seal,
and a magnetic drain plug for easier, less messy
maintenance.
The pan is available in as-cast, black, and polished
finishes. The PML part number is 10304. The pan also
fits vehicles with the Dodge 545RFE transmission such as
the Ram 1500 with the 4.7 or Hemi engine, 2000 and newer
Dakota and Durango with the 4.7 engine, and 1999 and
newer Jeep Grand Cherokee with 4.7 engines.
A
Titan of a Differential Cover
June 1, 2005 – PML now manufactures
and sells a new extra-capacity differential cover for the Nissan
Titan. PML designed this cover with fins and additional oil
capacity for cooler differential temperatures. Many Titan
owners have reported overheating
especially when towing and have been looking for a way to reduce
temperatures. PML heard from these owners and designed a cover
in response to their needs.

New Before you crank up the power
on your diesel with programmers and chips, help
your tranny stay cooler and last longer. Below we installed a PML
pan on a 2002 Ford F250 before adding an Edge Juice programmer. The
extra oil capacity, cooling fins and a port for a real tranny temp
gauge, will allow your tranny to handle the extra power coming to
it.

When you hear a salesperson tell you to trade
more often to save yourself from repair costs, that's a clue to the time
bomb they are trying to sell you. Truck manufactures need to sell
trucks. If they make them near perfect they won’t sell them as often. If you go
to some working farms and ranches you can find 30 year old trucks working
everyday. These old trucks get serviced, rebuilt and improved on. You
truck can last several decades too! New trucks and SUV's are regularly priced
over $40,000 now. Why would you not want to improve their life span. The
manufactures in competing with each other, only improve things to be a little
bit at a time, saving options for the next new improved model that you can’t
live without. A short trading cycle is the goal of manufactures. That’s
where the popular 2 and 3 year leasing programs came from. With truck payments
running $500 to $800 a month for 6 years, wouldn't it be nice to pay the darn
thing off and still have a dependable truck to drive for another 10 years
without payments?
"Buying these
covers is a no-brainer. I think they are a bargain for what
they save you."
To be able to drain your tranny and
differential with just a plug is great. Pulling a trailer is hard on your
truck. Pulling heats up your engine oil, tranny oil, and differential oil.
Adding oil capacity and a cooler running, finned cover and pan, neutralizes
the some of the stress from pulling heavy loads. And for the price of these
quality U.S. built aluminum replacement pans and covers, there is no reason
not to protect your trucks and SUV's. Anybody can install them. If you
pull trailers with an automatic transmission you need a temperature gauge on
that tranny. If you install the sending unit in the oil line, you will get
the hot side of things and who wants to restrict the cooling line. The PML
tranny pan has the port for the heat gauge built in it. This is actually the
easiest way to attach the sending unit for your transmission temperature
gauge.
Servicing your truck to last longer means
changing your tranny fluid and differential oil at least twice as often as
the service schedule in your owners manual. The Allison 1000 behind the GM
Duramax diesel has a spin on oil filter as does the new Ford TorqueShift
automatic transmission coming out next summer. You've always needed to
change the fluid more often but if the truck manufactures did everything
right, trucks would last too long. And then what would they do? That's why
there is so many aftermarket accessories for trucks, with just a few
products like these PML aluminum covers, you can ad years to your
trucks.
GM is notorious for not having
enough oil capacity.

Sometime
compare the oil capacities of a Semi-Truck and your truck. One is designed
for 1,000,000 miles plus and one is designed to last close to 300,000 miles
dependant on the owners participation in servicing.
